Aside from the absurdity of that promotional image, Jackery is actually a respected maker of large portable batteries for anyone who needs to recharge their lives when off the grid. Today, the company is releasing details about its latest flagship product: the Explorer 3000 Pro – first revealed at CES in January alongside the less specified ones Explorer 1500 Pro.

The Jackery Explorer 3000 Pro comes with AC and DC ports to charge just about anything you throw at it – including power tools, air conditioners, space heaters, microwaves, blenders and all your gadgets – and produces up to 3000W of sustained AC power. output with a 6000W peak. You also have the option to connect up to 1400W of solar power to the device to keep everything charged on the go.

The 29kg (nearly 64lb) powerplant is made portable by a telescoping handle and wheels to help you carry all 3024Wh of battery capacity. Unfortunately, Jackery still uses NMC battery chemistry here instead of more advanced lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4 or LFP), which offers longer life and better performance.

You can connect up to six solar panels to the Jackery Explorer 3000 Pro to fully charge the battery in less than four hours when conditions are perfect (and they never are).

And as long as we’re complaining, Jackery also doesn’t offer an app to remotely monitor its solar generators. It also uses non-standard eight-millimeter cylinder connectors between its batteries and solar panels instead of the industry-standard XT60/MC4. That means poking around with adapters to connect third-party panels you may already have.

Otherwise, Jackery says the Explorer 3000 Pro can be charged from zero to 100 percent in three to four hours, with the perfect sun hitting six of the company’s 200W panels at right angles. That charging time drops to 2.5 hours when plugged into a wall outlet rated at 1800W, or 35 hours on a 12V/8A car power outlet.

In terms of output connections, the Explorer 3000 Pro is equipped with 4x AC (120V, 2400W), 1x AC (120V, 3000W), 2x USB-A (Quick Charge 3.0, 18W), 2x USB-C (100W), and 1x car output (12V / 10A).
