Perhaps Ikea is feeling buoyed by the hype around the new Sonos Era 100 and 300 speakers, especially now that the speakers are available for pre-order; the flat-pack furniture maker has cut the price even further for its artful smart speaker that you can hang on your wall.
The Ikea Symfonisk photo frame Sonos speaker is now on sale for $169.99 ($90 off) direct from Ikea through May 29 or “while supplies last.” We don’t know if that means the unusual speaker is on its way out or a new one is on the way, but we do know that this is a lot. Now I know I said last month that the Symfonisk was a screaming deal at $194.99, but surprisingly it’s now another $25 cheaper. Don’t worry if you bought one last month – Ikea offers one 90 days price protection if you are signed up for the free Ikea Family rewards membership.
I keep telling myself I really don’t need to have two, but it’s in my shopping cart
Ikea’s Symfonisk photo frame is like a Sonos One speaker that you can hang on the wall. It integrates seamlessly into the Sonos ecosystem and can call up your music through the Sonos app, Spotify Connect or even Apple’s AirPlay 2. Sure, it has a power cord hanging off it that you might want to hide, but in my own home I find it works great above a shelf or desk and saves space. And if the simple geometric art it offers isn’t to your liking, Ikea recently released new drop-in panels that may be more to your liking. Read our review.
The Anker 622 MagGo magnetic battery available in black or green $39.99 at Newegg (sold by Anker) when using code MKTACCUMAR6 at checkout or $44.99 at Anker’s store with code WS24A161156. That Newegg deal is a $20 discount (a new low) on the excellent 5,000mAh power bank, which can charge a phone via USB-C or wirelessly via a built-in Qi pad with magnets.
The 622 MagGo is a perfect companion for some portable juice, especially if you have a MagSafe-compatible iPhone. While not an official MagSafe accessory, it charges at a solid 7.5W output and is much, much cheaper than Apple’s $99 MagSafe battery pack, which can be charged at 15W but not nearly as much energy can contain. Read our MagSafe buying guide.
You can download the latest version of it Apple Watch SE in 40mm or 44mm size for $30 off. That means the 40mm GPS configuration sells for $219 Best Buy And Amazonwhile the larger 44mm model with GPS costs $249, including for Best Buy And Amazon.
While the second-generation Apple Watch SE uses the same latest processor as the Series 8, it retains the smaller screen of older models and thus doesn’t support the always-on feature. This deal is as cheap as you can get an Apple Watch today without opting for an old or used model, so it’s a great introductory model if you’re looking to get into fitness and health tracking or if you’re upgrading from an older model like the Series 3. Hey, you won’t miss the always-on display if you never had it, right? Read our review.
I’ve got a few deals right out of my ballpark for you Xbox and PC gamers. After giving our Xbox controller buying guide a juicy update yesterday, I couldn’t help noticing a handful of great deals on both first-party and third-party controllers.
Our top pick and easiest recommendation for most people, the default Microsoft Xbox wireless controller (the one that comes with the Xbox Series X/S). selling for $39.99 ($20 off) in black from Microsoft. It might be a bit mundane or not as cool-looking as some of Xbox Design Lab’s wild creations, but it’s an excellent all-rounder that sells for the lowest price.
If you prefer a more premium build with a built-in rechargeable battery, Microsoft’s Xbox Elite Series 2 Core Controller retails for $110 ($20 off). Amazon and $110.99 onwards Microsoft. The black and white Elite Series 2 Core is the same controller as the all-black $179.99 Elite Series 2, but omits added accessories such as alternate stick toppers, cross-type D-pad, rear paddles, and a charging case . However, you can buy them all in a $59.99 kit to match the Core head-to-head with the more expensive Elite Series 2. And with today’s discount, that actually makes sense, as the combined price of $169 .99 will save you $10 compared to buying the Elite Series 2.
The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 Core is functionally identical to the more expensive Elite Series 2, but it doesn’t come with the extra D-pad, back paddles, thumbsticks, or charging case. That could be purchased separately for $59.99.
Now for my fellow cheap gamers, the Xbox version of the PowerA enhanced wired controller in blue retails for just $24.99 ($13 off) at Amazon And Best Buy. Don’t let that low price fool you, as the Enhanced Wired is a solid controller that feels very much like the standard Microsoft controller, albeit with a few assignable buttons on the back and the required wired connection. That wire is unfortunately a dated Micro USB rather than USB-C, but these gamepads are excellent if you want something cheap but good for PC gaming or extra controllers for some local co-op on your Xbox console of choice.
Lastly, for you idiots who might consider a wired controller in some deep customization options, the RIG Nacon Revolution X controller in black retails for $79.90 ($20 off) direct from Nakonwhile the white version sells for $79.99 Amazon. It’s the only controller with optional weights in the grips, so you can make it lighter or heavier according to your preference. Plus, the four extra buttons built into the back are easier to use than paddles.
A few more deals:
- If you own a Switch Lite, you owe it to yourself to also have the Nintendo Switch Lite Flip Cover & Screen Protector for that, that is on sale for $26.73 (about $13 off) at Amazon. The small case offers protection and convenience while keeping the Lite light.
- Amazon’s Echo Show 15 is on sale for $224.98 ($50 off) from Amazon. This is one of the best Echo Show smart display options out there, as it mounts on your wall to save counter or desk space, and it can even be used as a Fire TV streaming device (although the remote is sold separately).
