Gearbox is new Stories from the borderlands game just called New stories from the border countries, will be released on October 21, the studio announced Tuesday during its Gamescom Opening Night Live event. The game will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
The original Stories from the borderlands is a narrative adventure game originally created by Telltale Games. This sequel has a new storyline and new characters, and part of the team that worked on the first Stories from the borderlands are back for this entry, said Gearbox Entertainment founder Randy Pitchford on the stage of Opening Night Live.
Gearbox had revealed earlier this year that a Stories from the borderlands follow-up was in the works sometime in 2022. But the fact that we learned more at Opening Night Live wasn’t a total surprise, as an Amazon listing for New stories from the border countries appeared last week.
Gearbox is also working on a film adaptation of Border areas. The film has some big names, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Hart, Cate Blanchett and Jack Black.
