EA Motive has teamed up with Disney and Marvel to create three new games based on Marvel properties. The first title to be released from this collaboration will be a recently revealed Iron Man-focused title.
EA COO Laura Miele said: in a statement“We’ve been fans of Marvel and their impressive leadership for a long time, so this is a remarkable moment for our developers, as well as for our players and fans. We look forward to welcoming Marvel to the EA family of creators and know that this partnership will deliver exceptional experiences for our players.”
Motive’s Iron Man title has reportedly entered the playtest phase, meaning certain testers will get their hands on the game this week. According to Insider Gaming, they can provide feedback on the game’s plot points and game mechanics. The new game will be an original Iron Man story and will make use of “the character’s rich history, channeling Tony Stark’s complexity, charisma and creative genius.”
There is no confirmation on the other two games yet. Rumor has it that at least one of them will star in Black Panther, but the other one is a mystery. All three games will be action-adventure titles for PC and console.
