On Wednesday, the woman appeared on video at Miami International Airport hurling a computer screen at an American Airlines ticket agent before a judge.
The charges against Camila McMillie, 25, include aggravated violence, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. The hearing resulted in a $4,500 bail for her release.
McMillian’s allegations were affirmed by Circuit Judge Mindy Glazer as there was sufficient evidence to support them. Authorities say McMillie connected to MIA on Tuesday en route from Alabama to New York City. McMillie was rebooked on a later flight and she checked in at gate D-39.
Take a look at:
“While the subject was with the gate agent, her two minor children ran off without notice to use nearby restrooms. Once the subject noticed that the children were not with her, she became furious and began to scream, demanding the gate agent to find her children,’ said the police.
While yelling at the gate agent, she allegedly ripped the boarding pass reader from the hardwood counter, causing damage to the device and counter, then snatched the computer screen and threw it at the employee.
When Miami-Dade police arrived, they were assisted by adjacent Customs and Border Protection officers who seized McMillie. McMillie was taken into custody and faced appropriate charges.

Authorities say the gate agent suffered shoulder bruises in the incident. Peter D’Oench van CBS4 spoke to Trudy Hooker, who went to the Bahamas with her husband Ernie, and heard the following from Trudy:
“My response is I think this was a little overboard. She shouldn’t have acted so quickly.” said Ernie Hooker.
“This was too violent. She should have taken more time to find out where her children were. The person behind the counter had nothing to do with her kids running away. Someone could have been injured.”
Another traveler on the plane, who identified himself only as Jim but would not give his last name, added: “This was just an overreaction, but it was a dangerous one.”
“Acts of violence against our team members will not be tolerated by American Airlines and we are committed to working closely with law enforcement in their investigations. Our thoughts are with our team member and we are making sure they are getting the support they need at this time. the airline said in a statement.
Airport spokesman Greg Chin says customers should be patient due to an expected increase in traffic around the holiday season. “Be careful and exercise patience”, he said.

“Prepare for the worst and keep your patience at the airport. We would like to urge passengers to pack their patience and not take anything from airline or airport personnel. Don’t risk messing up your holiday plans because you lost your temper at the airport.”
According to Chin, the airport expects an average of 151,000 people per day from January 6. That is an increase of 10 thousand travelers per day compared to last year.
Passengers should be at the airport three hours for a domestic flight and three and a half hours for an international flight, he added.
He said, “We expect a slight increase in passenger numbers in the coming weeks, especially in the coming days, including the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday before Christmas and especially on the following Friday before New Year’s Day.“
He also warns that airport parking lots can fill up, suggesting passengers are looking at cheap parking spots nearby or trying to hitchhike… Just follow us on Lee Daily for more news like this.
