Danny Glover was born in San Francisco on July 22, 1946, to parents Carrie Hunley and James Glover. Glover had been diagnosed with epilepsy since his adolescence and at the age of 35 he had a seizure. He had attended the prestigious George Washington High School as a child.
Glover applied to graduate from San Francisco State University in the late 1960s, but failed to graduate and was later awarded an honorary doctorate. Danny Glover was also trained at the Black Actor’s Workshop, an American Conservatory Theater.
