Drink Masters, a Netflix original series, is ready to shake things up with incredible drinks and fierce competition. In the reality show, mixologists and bartenders from across North America will prepare to create liquid art to wow the judges and win a $100,000 prize. While the concept of the event may be similar to that of a conventional cooking show, the results will be unique, leaving both audience and judges speechless, so bottom-up. The creators of Blown Away present the program, which is led by comedian, actor and producer Tone Bell, best known for his role as Scott Evans in The Flash.

According to the description of the show:

“Twelve of the world’s most creative mixologists infuse, swirl and blend their way through a series of high-stakes cocktail challenges for a chance to win a life-changing reward and the title of The Ultimate Drink Master.”

Drink Masters will be available on Netflix from Friday, October 28.

Tone Bell prepares to host Netflix’s Drink Masters, a mixology competition.

Tone Bell is gearing up to host Netflix’s new mixology reality competition, which kicks off soon. The 39-year-old actor and comedian has acted in several TV series and films, including Disjointed, in which he portrayed the guard of a cannabis dispensary. Tone Bell began his comedy career in Dallas before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career as an actor and comedian. He won the Stand-up NBC Diversity talent contest and as a result was signed to the NBC network and appeared in People Are Talking.

He worked as an instructor and then a brand manager at Swivel Media in San Francisco before pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. He later returned to Atlanta to work for a company that eventually moved him to Dallas, where he began turning his hobby into a job. Discussing his job with Cliche Magazine in 2014, Tone said that when he moved to Dallas, he didn’t know anyone and had to figure out ways to meet people without “looking weird.” He decided to try his luck at an open mic event, thinking it would be a fun opportunity to meet new people.

A lover of old humor, Tone named Bill Cosby and Bill Burr as his favorite comedians. The Drink Masters host also cited The King of Queens’ Kevin James as a major source of inspiration for his ability to make a humble concept too big. Tone and the judges appeared for a virtual interview with Bonnie Laufer ahead of the Drink Masters launch, where they discussed the upcoming episode. Bonnie told Tone that he had “the best job in the world” as he hosts a program about people making cocktails. He claimed:

“You’re right; I have the best job in the world.”

Bell went on to say that in addition to hosting the program, he was allowed to drink cocktails made by the best bartenders. He went on to say that he was allowed to “drink brilliance” in every episode. Bonnie then wondered if he was drunk at the end of each episode, to which the Drinks Masters host joked that he was, but not because of the show. Tone went on to say that he would have a full breakfast every day and that the most difficult aspect of the program was not being able to make the delicious cocktails the mixologists would make.
