Elon Musk took to Twitter on Wednesday to share a gruesome clip of what appears to be a “mad stalker” following his son, X Æ A-12, thinking it was Musk himself.
In the 11-second footage posted to the social media platform, viewers can see a hooded man wearing a black mask covering only his mouth in a white Hyundai Elantra, whose license plate number was captured on camera.
Musk then described the chilling account, explaining that the vehicle X was traveling in was followed by a car, which then blocked the vehicle as the driver jumped on the hood of his son’s car.

The video has been viewed an estimated 16.7 million times.
Earlier this week, Musk said he will take legal action against Jack Sweeney, a college student who created the now-suspended Twitter account ElonJet, which tracked the location of Musk’s private jet. Musk claims Sweeney’s records helped the stalker find where his car might be.
“Any account that doxxs someone’s real-time location data will be suspended, as it is a physical security violation,” Musk explained at the time of the suspension. “This includes posting links to sites with real-time location information.”
Both Musk and his son, whom he shares with musician and former partner Grimes, were unharmed by the incident.
According to CNETthe Los Angeles Police Department was unable to verify whether a formal report had already been filed.
The suspect has not yet been identified.
