Samsung has introduced a few camera accessories designed to work with the Galaxy S23 series modular Gadget Case. Spotted by WinFutureby Roland Quandtthe two phone holders — the Slim tripod stand and the Camera grip are listed in a number of Samsung online stores – offer flexible options for photography, video calling, and hands-free positioning of the phone. Both accessories connect to the S23 Series Gadget Case, replacing the standard PopSocket style kickstand grip attachment.
The Slim Tripod is an adjustable phone stand that offers flexible options to position the device in either landscape or portrait orientation, with collapsible tripod legs that fold flat against the accessory when not in use. When the legs are flattened and not folded away, the mount can be used as a one-handed grip for video recording. The Slim Tripod is available in silver and is currently on the UK Samsung store for £34 (about $41).
The Camera Grip Stand is a compact miniature tripod that allows Galaxy S23 phones to stand in either landscape or portrait orientation, with a detachable Bluetooth shutter button for taking photos or videos from a distance. In addition to stabilizing the device during video calls or hands-free viewing of content (e.g. watching YouTube in the bath or TikTok while cooking), the stand can also be tilted at an angle for added flexibility while filming. The tripod legs of the mounting accessory can be folded and hidden in the stand body, making it easier to carry. The camera grip can’t be bought through the UK store, but we saw the phone holder at Samsung’s store in Hong Kong for HK$385 (about $45).
None of the new camera mounts are on the US store yet, though that’s likely to change. We’ve reached out to Samsung to clarify pricing and availability in the US, and will update this story if we hear back.
