When do the Oscars start?
The Oscars will take place on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
Where can I watch the Oscars?
The Academy Awards will be available on various live TV streaming platforms with ABC including Hulu with live TV, YouTube TV, FuboTVAnd DirecTV stream.
If you have a cable subscription, you can watch the Academy Awards for free on your local ABC station. You can also tune into the ceremony on the ABC website or app by logging in to your cable provider.
As for the red carpet coverage, the ABC News YouTube channel will stream the Academy Awards pre-show starting at 1:30 PM ET / 10:30 AM PT. While E! will broadcast it own coverage on the red carpet on his channel at 5 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT, you can only watch it on cable or through a streaming subscription that the network carries.
Who hosts the Oscars?
Jimmy Kimmel will host the Oscars for a third time, having previously officiated the ceremony in 2017 and 2018.
At the 95th Academy Awards, the event returns to the solo host format, as the past several events have either had no host or a group of co-hosts, as we saw last year with Regina Hall, Amy Schumer, and Wanda Sykes.
