Meet Lana Jenkins, who will appear in Season 9 of Love Island UK!
Lana Jenkins, a 25-year-old makeup artist from Luton who previously worked on the sets of Brassic, makes her debut in season 9 of Love Island. She worked closely with Michelle Keegan on the program. Lana lived in Spain as a youngster and starred in an episode of Benidorm. She has previously worked and dated many reality stars as part of her job. She used to be in a relationship with Owen Warner who is a Hollyoaks actor, reality celebrity, and I’m a Celebrity contestant. After Owen’s divorce from Stephanie Davis, the two started dating in 2020.
They revealed their relationship on Instagram in a since-deleted post and got connected by mutual friends when she was working on CBBC’s So Awkward. They dated for a few months before calling it quits. Lana has been single for about two or three years and thinks it’s time for her to try something new. She confesses that she fell in love with people quickly before participating in Love Island. She said if all goes well she would most likely tell them she loves them within a week. Men who question her when she hasn’t responded in a while, on the other hand, are an instant turn off.
She went on to say:
“I don’t mind people reaching out to me all the time, but if you send me questions and I haven’t responded in a while, you’re out. That raises a huge red flag for me! Even if I see a man fall over, I am immediately eliminated.”
Haris Namani, Olivia Hawkins, Shaq Muhammad, Tanyel Revan, Will Young, Anna-May Robey, Ron Hall, Kai Fagan and Tanya Manhenga join Lana on Love Island.
Learn more about the program
Love Island season 9 is slated to return to television screens after the program last aired in 2020. The candidates travel to South Africa for the next winter phase, to the luxurious villa Ludus Magnus in the Franschhoek Winelands near Cape Town. Named after a Roman gladiatorial school, the villa comes complete with its own private beach, lake and palm trees.
In the upcoming season, contestants must follow two more rules in addition to the current one. They are forbidden in Season 9 from using social media or letting family members handle it for them. Another requirement is that the participants attend a series of seminars. Psychological help is provided, training on how to deal with adverse reactions to social media, money management, the effect of participating in the event and other services. Season 9 of Love Island premieres on January 16 on ITV2 and episodes are available to watch on ITVX.
