James and Peggy’s mother first met in 1989 and they started dating shortly after. However, in 1991 they broke up after the release of the movie “Hear My Song”, but in 1994 they started dating again and in the same year they got married. In 2013, James announced their split and in 2016 they officially divorced. Since then, he has had no affairs, at least in public.
He works for several charities, including Wave, which provides support to those affected by the Troubles, the ethno-nationalist conflict in Northern Ireland. He is also the UNICEF UK Ambassador.
