Our main storyline this season revolves around Ji-Yoon having to give it a hard time decisions as chairman. During Episode 1, she was told to fire three teachers because enrollments were low.

By the end of the season, Bill has been fired, with the top three earners still on the payroll, presumably joined by a fourth in Yaz. Given that she was present at the end of the meeting and Ji-Yoon promised her more money and a lucrative contract if she stayed instead of going to Yale, spells financial disaster for Pembroke.
What about Bill? Throughout the season there has been a stranger shoehorn story about Daphne here, and the big “aha” moment involves her not wanting to sleep with him but letting him read her novel.
In reality it is one pointless subplot that adds nothing to the show. Not to mention his bow, which has him fired and is still hopelessly unsuccessful by the end. The only difference is that he is more optimistic… But how long will that last?
The other subplots are all resolved, though Joan as a chair is more of a poisoned chalice than anything else. All Ji-yoon has done is hand over all her past troubles and troubles to Joan, who will probably be retiring in the near future anyway!
