According to the IMDb synopsis of the series:
“The Story of Chicago Firefighters and Paramedics, Both Personally and Professionally.”
Season 11 of Chicago Fire kicks off after the wedding of Lieutenant Kelly Severide and Stella Kidd in the final episode of Season 10. Jesse Spencer, Taylor Kinney, Kara Kilmer, David Eigenberg, Joe Minoso, Christian Stolte, Miranda Rae Mayo, Alberto Rosende, Daniel Kyri, Hanako Greensmith, Eamonn Walker, and Jake Lockett will all appear in the upcoming season.
What can we expect from Chicago Fire season 11?
While details of the upcoming season are being kept secret, executive producer Derek Haas told ET Online:
“Season 11 kicks off at breakneck speed and picks up right where we left off last season with Severide and Kidd — and the show never slows down by the hour. Let’s just say it’s pretty hot. From the first second.”
Season 11 has many unanswered mysteries, starting with who visited Severide and Kidd on their honeymoon. The season 10 finale, titled The Magnificent City of Chicago, ended on a cliffhanger as the couple celebrated their wedding on one side while being visited by someone from Severide’s past on the other. Someone related to the drug dealer who put Severide in the hospital is a good hypothesis. When Severide appeared in court to testify against his attacker, one of the dealer’s men tried to stop him. A battle broke out and the unnamed person was killed.
Apart from that, it remains to be seen how the love bond between Matthew Casey and Sylvie Brett develops. Both characters made their return in the eleventh episode. While Brett was enjoying a vacation from her long-distance relationship with Casey, the latter made the life-changing choice to leave Firehouse 51 and move to Oregon to care for the Darden boys. Brett and Casey discussed their future plans in the Season 10 finale, though it’s unclear if they’ll restart their relationship. Meanwhile, a love affair may develop between Blake Gallo and Violet Mikami after both secretly caught each other at Severide and Kidd’s wedding.
