Sonic Prime is an upcoming animated kids movie stream TV series co-produced by Sega of America, Netflix Animation, WildBrain Studios and Man of Action Entertainment, based on the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.

Sonic Prime release date: when will it come out?
Sonic Prime is available on Netflix at December 15, 2022.
The first season will consist of eight episodes, of which the first will last 40 minutes and the others alone 20 minutes.

The series ends Roger Craig Smith has been playing as Sonic for over a decade. Colleen O’Shaughnessey, who played Tails in Sonic Boom and the movies, won’t be reprising her role, but she has stated she is. “unfinished” with the character.
Drummond previously voiced Knuckles in Sonic Underground, and Chan-Kent played a small part in Sonic the Hedgehog: The movie in 2020.

Sonic Prime Plot: what is it about?
The official plot summary reads: “Sonic the Hedgehog believes he has seen it all, but when his final battle with Dr. Eggman shatters the Paradox Prism, he embarks on the adventure of a lifetime.
“As Sonic races through the strange new worlds of the Shatterverse, he searches for Tails, Rouge, Amy and Knuckles to escort him back to Green Hill. These Shatter versions of his old friends, all of whom have new looks, personalities, and abilities to match their new realities, have never heard of Sonic.
“If Sonic ever wants to reassemble his primary reality, he’ll have to regain his friends’ trust and teach them how to stay together, something that never obvious to him.
Sonic’s action-packed adventure becomes more than a race to save the Shatterverse from Dr. Eggman and his army of Badnik robots; it becomes a race to save the friends he took for granted. Sonic holds the fate of the Shatterverse in his gloved hands!”.
