We hope that Ava Phillippe will have a better start to 2023. On New Year’s Eve, the 23-year-old daughter of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe shared on Instagram that she hurt her ankle and had to go to the hospital.
“Starting the new year with a bang… well, more like a *pop*… in my ankle. And all because my clumsy self in heels tried to jump over a (very large) rain puddle,” she wrote at the beginning of the evening.
“I feel pretty blessed right now to have a superstar friend and ER buddy like @jadensanders in my life. She seriously kept me giggling for all the hours we waited and only once left my side to get us some cozy dry clothes. I love you, J. ♥️,” Ava added to her faithful friend.

“I will definitely add ‘be gentler with my body’ to my New Year’s resolutions list!” Ava continued. “Feel free to share in the comments what you’re looking forward to in the new year or whatever New Year’s resolutions you have. I’d love to read them while keeping my ankle in bed!”
She ended the post by saying, “Wishing you all peace, love and good health in 2023.” People left well wishes and stories of their own ankle injuries in the comments.
