Lizzy Savetsky, a Jewish influencer and activist has left the RHONY (Real Housewives of New York City) reboot due to “an outpouring of anti-Semitic abuse”. She was the newest member of the program, but left the Bravo reality show in the middle of production. Lizzy announced her decision in an Instagram post on November 16, 2022, stating that she would no longer be part of the next season 14 of RHONY.

Her decision comes less than a month after Bravo announced she will be joining Erin Dana Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Jessel Taank and Brynn Whitfield on the show. The RHONY housewives have been reduced to six. A Bravo representative also verified the story to Variety. According to the statement:

“After careful consideration and consultation with Lizzy, we have collectively decided that Lizzy will not be a cast member on RHONY.”

Former RHONY star Lizzy Savetsky describes herself as a “proud Jew.”

Lizzy Savetsky is a “proud Jew and Zionist” and a “matchmaker,” according to her Instagram page. She is the wife of cosmetic surgeon Dr. Ira Savetsky and mother of three: Stella, 9, Juliet, 8, and son Ollie, 2. She is originally from Fort Worth, Texas. According to her LinkedIn page, Lizzy holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University and a master’s degree in education from the University of Pennsylvania.

She was a straight A student, country music performer, and cheerleader during her school days. She even competed in Miss Teen Texas. She told aish.com:

“I was a chronic perfectionist who was never satisfied and constantly looking for more.” I wanted everything. I wanted to attend the right events and dress appropriately. I wanted to be everything to all people. I killed it everywhere I went.

“Lizzy single-handedly developed a social media campaign to raise $57,000 for a Torah for the Israeli army commemorating the souls who died in the womb.”

She even created her own IGTV series, BASHERT, to help Jewish singles find love. Lizzy also uses her platform to show off her sense of style and educate people about her deep-rooted values. Lizzy released a video in early October in which she denounced rapper Kanye West’s racist statements. She stated:

“In support of his anti-Semitic agenda, I continue to receive incredibly unpleasant, even dangerous comments.” My children’s great-grandmother did not escape Auschwitz, which is why we could not stand by and watch individuals threaten our survival as a nation. We must speak out! I take these threats seriously, and you should too.”
