Han Seo hey was charged by the Suwon District Court in her previous case for taking psychotropic drugs while on probation. When she was arrested for marijuana use in 2016, she was already charged with narcotics. She was sentenced to four years’ probation for the same offence. The infamous K-pop intern was sentenced to one year and six months in prison for illegal drug offences. Han Seo Hee was charged in 2016 on charges of acquiring marijuana four times and using marijuana seven times at her home in Jung-gu, Seoul. In 2017, she was sentenced to three years in prison, a four-year suspension, an 870,000 won fine, four years’ probation and 120 hours of drug treatment programs. She tested positive for psychotropic substances during her probationary period in July last year and was detained at the probation office.

The judge in Han Seo Hee’s case said after the verdict that her claims were invalid because the amount of methamphetamine detected in the cup was more than 300 nanograms, according to test results from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation.
According to Judge Kim,
“It is difficult to assume that the water supply contains enough amphetamine to interfere with Han Seo Hee’s test results.”

Judge Kim further found that since she was the only woman present at the time of the urine test, her argument that her test result was mixed with other individuals could not be accepted.
According to the judgment of the Suwon District Court, which was confirmed by the Supreme Court:
“The defendant refuses to consider the illegality of her actions and continues to make illogical claims.”
