Felicia Taylor, a former CNN anchor, was recently detained in Palm Beach for an alleged hit-and-run. Palm Beach Police said she was charged on July 28 with allegedly hitting another car, injuring the driver and then fleeing the accident scene while driving her vehicle. Although the retired journalist apparently dismissed the claims, official records indicated that Taylor collided with another car during a traffic stop. Page Six was given the following statement:
“The white Mercedes hit his car from behind.” The collision forced [him] to smash the steering wheel, resulting in many injuries.”

Taylor was reportedly spotted leaving the event in her Mercedes after the collision “without providing assistance or pausing to give information,” the report said. According to authorities, she was seen twice while driving at the accident site without stopping. Taylor reportedly wanted to “prove the other driver’s injuries” and said she didn’t stop at the scene of the incident because she didn’t realize “there was something to worry about”.
Shortly after the incident, Taylor was stopped by an officer, who said Taylor admitted her role in the accident and stated that “the other driver was okay”. The officer also said the former anchor wanted to return home and that the collision was “not a big deal”.
The officer continued:
“Before the accident, Taylor reported being at a restaurant on Worth Avenue and then at a restaurant on the Royal Poinciana Plaza.” We couldn’t find a restaurant that had Taylor as a guest.”
She reportedly said she was leaving The Colony Property, but did not reply when authorities informed her that the hotel was closed. Taylor also said she did not drive under the influence and was not taking any prescription drugs. The officer stated that he did not smell alcohol on the former anchor. According to Page Six, the injured driver of the other car suffered from jaw, head, neck and back complaints and was treated at the scene by medical personnel. Meanwhile, Felicia Taylor was examined by a doctor and confirmed she was unharmed.
