Twitter is working on a feature that will allow you to publish articles on the platform, according to owner Elon Musk. The feature allows users to post very long, complex mixed media articles. said Musk in a reply to a user’s tweet about the tool under development, which is now apparently called “Articles” instead of “Notes.” “You could publish a book if you want.”
The feature will further expand the ways you can write on the platform, which, under Musk’s ownership, is beginning to expand beyond its microblogging roots. Twitter Blue subscribers can already publish tweets with 10,000 characters, which is well above the Limit of 280 characters imposed on non-Blue subscribers. Whenever the article function launches, it seems that you can publish posts that are even longer.
Musk didn’t say when the article feature might be released. But given Twitter’s recent history of surprise launches, I suspect it will one day appear without much warning.
