Best of all, unlike Sony’s recent restock events, you don’t have to enter an online queue to check out at either retailer – just log in with your PlayStation Network ID or Walmart credentials and checkout (seriously).
While we can’t guarantee you’ll be able to grab the console today, there are a few things you can do to maximize your chances. First of all, remember that when you buy a PS5 from Sony or Walmart, you need to log in with your PlayStation Network ID or Walmart credentials. So it’s wise to have your username and password handy, and remember that you can only buy one console per account, no matter which store you go with. Fortunately, this time around you don’t have to wait in a virtual queue to make your purchase, which was once the case with both retailers.
