Tesla promises that the Semi can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 20 seconds, even when “fully loaded”, and “maintain highway-level speeds even on steep slopes”. It also promises that you can charge up to 70 percent of its 300- or 500-mile range in 30 minutes. And according to Musk it’s “super fun to drive.”
There’s also Tesla’s full self-driving technology, which Musk promised would be around the corner for years; currently the feature is in beta (although that’s a generous term in some ways). When it was announced, Tesla said the Semi would at least drive semi-autonomously, although there is currently no information on it on the webpage of the truck.
