Fortnite just keeps accelerating. As part of the most recent update, the battle royale game is adding gear from Attack on Titan that allows players to zip around the island.
The updatebringing the game to version 24.40 was first suggested when the current one Fortnite season debuted in March. It contains two pieces of Attack on Titan gear: the omni-directional mobility gear, or ODM, which “gives you the ability to grab in the air and hit opponents below,” and “arm-launched missiles” called Thunder Spears. The additions seem to fit well with the current season’s faster gameplay, including motorcycles and grindable rails.
Outside of the gameplay features, the update brings some characters from the anime. As previously known, Battle Pass owners will be able to unlock Eren Jaeger by completing a series of missions, but fans will be able to purchase both Captain Levi and Mikasa Ackermann from the item shop starting today. There’s also a new location tied to the anime, though Epic says it’s hidden. My advice is to look underground.
