Mike Greenberg Biography
Mike Greenberg was born on August 6, 1967 in New York to a Jewish family. He graduated from Stuyvesant High School in 1985. He attended Northwestern University for additional studies and graduated there. He began his career as a sports anchor at WMAQ-AM in Chicago. Later that year, he started working for WSCR-Radio and left his position at WMAQ-AM.
He contributed essays to Copley News Service from 1993 to 1995. He listed SportsChannel Chicago on his resume in 1994. Later that year, in 1996, he left SportsChannel Chicago to work for CLTV. He left Chicago in 1996 while working for ESPN. He was the first ESPNEWS host.
