Maz Jobrani Biography
Maziyar Jobranic was born in Tehran, Iran, on February 26, 1972. His family moved to California when he was six years old, and he spent most of his childhood in Tiburon, in the San Francisco Bay area. He graduated from Redwood High School in Larkspur and was inducted into the school’s distinguished 2017 alumni class.
Jobrani received a BA in political science from UC Berkeley. He later enrolled in UCLA’s Ph.D. program, but dropped out because he wanted to pursue his childhood dream of acting and performing comedy.
