Elliot Spitzer was born on June 10, 1959 in Riverdale, New York City, New York. He is the son of real estate magnate Bernard Spitzer and English literature professor Anne (née Goldhaber). He is the younger of two siblings. They lived in the affluent Riverdale neighborhood of the Bronx in New York City.
