Chandler made her start in the entertainment world as a dancer, saying in a Refinery29 interview that she dreamed of dancing professionally, and didn’t even consider acting at the time. She started dancing at the age of three and was trained at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy and the Los Angeles Ballet Academy. She also received a scholarship to attend the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, DC.

From the age of ten she also trained in the martial art of Taekwondo and at the age of thirteen she obtained her first degree black belt.

She landed her most notable role in 2016, as Riana in Fox’s comedy-drama series “Lethal Weapon”; her character is the teenage daughter of LAPD Captain Roger Murtaugh, played by Damon Wayans, and has been on the show since it first aired. Set in modern-day Los Angeles, it follows new detectives Roger Murtaugh and Martin Riggs (played by Clayne Crawford), who are quite different from each other; the show is based on the 1987 film of the same name starring Danny Glover and Mel Gibson, with many characters based directly or loosely on characters from the film.
