Brianne Ashleigh Tju was born on June 14, 1998 in Chino Hills, California, USA. She is of Chinese and Indonesian descent and is the daughter of Chris Tju and his wife Nancy. She grew up in a large family with five children, and she has a brother, Christopher, and three sisters, Haley Tju, Katelynn and Lauren.
She attended Ruben S. Ayala High School and, after graduating, enrolled at California State University, Fullerton. In high school she took choral lessons, which helped her a lot in her later career.
