Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was sexually harassed by a weird right-wing media figure this week as she walked to work, and the whole thing was caught on video. Who is this troll then?
Dear reader, we suggest you pretend it doesn’t exist, but if you really want to know, read on.
First of all, the troll’s name is Alex Stein, and he’s a man who sexually harassed a member of the US House of Representatives with no repercussions other than being called out on social media.
He says he is a “comedian” on the right and a “professional troll”. It’s important to keep in mind that this isn’t his job, but it seems like how he spends his days.

People may remember Mr. Stein from a “Prayers for Ukraine” rap he did at a city council meeting in Plano, Texas. In February, he did the same thing at another council meeting in Dallas, rapping about Covid-19 vaccines.
Even though his raps about the city council aren’t always clear on what they’re trying to say, his other stunts are.
He harassed other lawmakers, such as Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw, whom he called a “RINO,” and Congressman Adam Kinzinger, whom he called a “d-bag.”
Since at least 2012, when he was on a ABC reality show called “The Glass House”, Mr. Stein begs for attention in a very sad way.

Mr. Stein’s father once told D magazine in Dallas about his son. He says his son’s behavior turned bad after the family’s mother died of Covid-19 in 2021. His father, Rhett, told the magazine, “It woke him up.”
“It totally broke him and that’s why he’s behaving badly. After that he is not the same person anymore. He says he is, but he’s not the same person he used to be.”
As sad as it is, more than a million people in the US died from Covid-19, but only Mr. Stein seems to be coping with the loss by acting like a crazy pervert outside of Congress. He’s a troll. Ignore him and he will go away.
