Buzz Aldrin, originally Edwin Eugene Aldrin Jr. named, was born on May 5, 1930 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. Edwin Sr., a Standard Oil businessman and veteran airman in the United States Army in World War I, and Marion were his parents. Madeleine and Fay Ann, his two older sisters, were his first parents.
