Vinnie Hacker, an influencer and TikTok developer, is facing backlash after uploading a photo of him posing with a cigarette while claiming to have quit smoking last year. On Wednesday, January 18, 2023, Vinnie’s Instagram, @vinniehacker, published the photo in question with the caption:

“Who cares about the cigarette, will you?”

In the past, the influencer has been spotted smoking. However, he announced on Twitter in November 2022 that he would quit smoking for good. Vinnie is currently vacationing in Paris with friend and fellow influencer Noah Beck, and they’ve exchanged photos.

Although vapes are non-tobacco e-cigarettes, they do contain nicotine and are classified as tobacco products by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The influencer has been providing regular updates about being “vape-free” and showing hopeful signs of quitting in November. Fans who supported the former baseball star in his fight cheered the action. Vinnie has yet to respond to the situation.
