Spencer Dutton from “1923”… Who is he? Explanation ‘Yellowstone’ prequel

The 1923 Yellowstone prequel began December 18 on Paramount Plus, and we can’t wait to meet the next generation of Duttons! For people who already like Yellowstone, the new show will be similar in how it tells the story of how our favorite ranch became what we know and love today.

In 1923, the ranch will be in a different time period and the story will largely be about an earlier version of the Dutton family in the years just before the Great Depression. Harrison Ford as Jacob Dutton and Helen Mirren as Cara Dutton are the main stars of the prequel.

Together with the patriarch and matriarch of the Dutton family, we also follow the younger members of the Dutton family as they go through their own problems.

Take a look at:

Spencer Dutton is one of these relatives. We’ve seen him before in flashbacks on Yellowstone.

Who is Spencer Dutton?

Spencer Dutton is Jacob’s cousin and John Dutton Sr., Jacob’s right-hand man, is his older brother. Spencer is said to have seen horrific things that changed his life during World War I, and he still feels the effects. We’ll see how his time in the war has changed him as the season progresses.

In season four of Yellowstone, there was a short flashback scene with Spencer as a young boy. His father, James Dutton, was played by Tim McGraw, who also stars in the 1883 Yellowstone prequel series.

Spencer is an adult in 1923 and the trailer shows him using his gun skills on what appears to be a hunting trip. Brandon Sklenar plays Spencer. He also played Edward Mapplethorpe in the 2018 biopic Mapplethorpe.

Sklenar has kept a low profile over the years, but he’s been on shows like Westworld and The Offer, which airs on Paramount Plus.

What is 1923 about?

The official description of Paramount Plus says: “1923 focuses on the next two generations of the Dutton family as they struggle to survive an historic drought, lawlessness, Prohibition and an epidemic of cattle theft. They’re all doing this under the cloud of Montana’s Great Depression, which happened nearly a decade before the rest of the country.”

The show features a large cast that includes well-known Hollywood actors as well as new actors just starting out. The story in 1923 begins about 40 years after what happened in 1883.

The first episode of 1923 is now available at Paramount plusand it will premiere on Paramount tonight after the new Yellowstone episode… Just follow us on Lee Daily for more news like this.
