A British woman who enjoys reading about serial killers has been accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death with a knife and then laughing while looking at his body on video chat.
Shaye Groves is currently on trial for the July 17 murder of her lover, Frankie Fitzgerald. The Winchester Crown Court jury heard this week that the mother of one stabbed Fitzgerald 22 times while he slept, said the Daily Mail.
Prosecutors say Groves, who was 27, was “obsessed” with Fitzgerald’s “performance in the bedroom.” She attacked him at home when she found out he was talking to a 13-year-old girl, which made her very angry.
Vikki Baitup, who used to be friends with Groves, said the accused killer called her after the attack and “giggled”. The Daily Mail said Baitup said Groves pointed the camera at Fitzgerald’s dead body and said: “I’m done with him.” Baitup then called the police, and when they arrived at Groves’ house, they smelled an “incredibly strong” amount of bleach in the bedroom.

In addition to Baitup’s testimony, the jury heard about Groves and Fitzgerald’s sex life, which allegedly included bondage, domination, submission, and masochism, as well as “knife play” with Groves’ four decorative knives.
In a letter read to the court, Groves gave Fitzgerald written permission to “wake up [her] up through intercourse from the date of March 22 until further notice.”
Groves may have placed a camera in her bedroom and filmed the two kissing. Baitup said in court that she had used similar videos to threaten her former boyfriends.

“She collects evidence against everyone to see how she can use it as leverage,” Baitup said of Groves, who she recalled was “not shy” about her unique sex life.
Baitup also spoke about Groves’ history of violence, saying she once used nail clippers to hurt a roommate. Groves had a rough past and she also had a soft spot for serial killers.
This week, the Daily Mail published photos of the suspect’s bedroom wall, which was covered in portraits of well-known killers like Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer and Myra Hindley. The Groves trial is still ongoing. She has denied the murder charges and says she did what she did to protect herself.
