Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area is a South Korean television series based on the original Spanish series.

The Korean series, directed by Kim Hong-sun and written by Ryu Yong-jae, is a original Netflix series with Yoo Ji-tae, Yunjin Kim, Park Hae-soo, Jeon Jong-seo, Lee Hyun-woo, Lee Won-jong and Park Myung-hoon.

It shows a hostage crisis situation in one united korean peninsulawith a brilliant strategist and people with different personalities and abilities.

Netflix has released the first six episodes June 24, 2022. The second part was released on December 9, 2022.

Money Heist: Korea Season 2: The Plot

In the first season we were introduced to The Professor’s ingenious plan to execute four trillion robbery won. To do this, he hired a few people with checkered pasts and successfully infiltrated the Mint at JEA.

After the kidnapping, they started printing banknotes worth won four trillion, claim to have a hidden agenda against the authorities.

We see how Woo-jin came almost discover The professor’s identity after a few encounters between the robbery team led by Yoo Jin-Tae and the police squad led by Seon Woo-jin, who also happen to be lovers.

The robbery team, on the other hand, has completed its mission and is plotting an escape route. Meanwhile, Woo-jin is determined rescuing the hostages and arrest the infiltrators.

However the story seems to end, there is still more to discover in the second season. Despite the fundamental of the professor rule about relationships, we can deduce from the teaser that the second season will focus on Rio (Lee Hyun-woo) and Tokyo, Denver (Kim Ji-hoon) and Mi-romance.

Seons (Lee Joo-bin). Seo Woo-jin will try to find out the identity of the professor, who also happens to be her love interest. The second season’s focus, on the other hand, would be on how the heist team escapes the Mint without getting into a fight with the police on both sides.

Money Heist: Korea Season 2: The Cast & Crew

The main cast of the first season of the K-drama will return for the second season, as the upcoming episodes are shot simultaneously with the previous ones. Several new characters will appear as the story progresses, as seen in the first Spanish Money Heist.

Yoo Ji-Tae, The Professor as the mastermind of the robbery, and Yunjin Kim as Seon Woo-jin, the task force cop, return in the next season for even more intense mind games.

The first is known for its roles in popular dramas such as Ji Chang-Healer, Wook’s Different Dreams and Mad Dog, while the latter rose to prominence for his roles in Heartbeat, Confession and Lost.

Other notable members of the cast for the second season include Lee Si-woo as Ann, Eugene Ko as Vice Principal and others. Tokyo is played by Jeon Jong-Seo. Park Hae-soo as Berlin, Kim Ji-hoon plays Denver, Joo-Bin Lee plays Youn Misun, Hyun-Woo Lee plays Rio, Yoon-Ju Jang plays Nairobi, Won-young Lee plays Moscow, Ji-Hoon Kim plays Helsinki, Kyu-Ho Lee plays Oslo and Victoria Grace plays Anne.

Hong-sun Kim, best known for his gripping hit drama The Voice, returns to direct the series for its second season. Alex Pinaa successful Spanish movie director, and writer improvised the script and served as executive producer, with writing credits shared by Kim Hwan-Chae, Choi Sung-Joon and Ryu Yong-Jae.
