Early life and education

Mike was raised in New Jersey along with his younger brother Collin by their parents – their father is a police officer and their mother works at a preschool. The two brothers started playing video games at a very young age while also being active outside by playing football and basketball with their friends.

Mike attended a local high school in New Jersey’s Freehold Township, and played tennis and soccer there, but failed to make the school’s basketball team. After taking his matriculation exam, Mike enrolled at St. John’s University in New York City, graduating in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree.

Career as a YouTuber

After three years of doing jobs he didn’t like, he decided to focus on his career on the internet and launched his career as a YouTuber on May 6, 2013 – he opened his eponymous channel with his bio section reading ‘If you love the NBA, you’ll love this channel.
