Early life and family
Lola Grace Consuelos was born on June 16, 2001 in New York City, USA; she is the middle child of Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa. She has an older brother, Michael Joseph, and a younger brother, Joaquin Antonio.
Hair parents met on the set of one of the longest-running American TV series, “All My Children,” in 1995. Mark auditioned for a part and Kelly, already a regular cast member, was his screen test partner. They became friends and soon turned to lovers, as did their roles on the soap opera. On May 1, 1996, Mark proposed and they decided to play chess and get married in Las Vegas. Just like in real life, their TV characters were married too.
Who is Mark Consuelos?
Mark is an American actor of Mexican and Italian descent, and was born on March 30, 1971 in Zaragoza, Spain. His family moved to the US when he was a child, and his parents raised him in Lebanon, Illinois, but later moved to Tampa, Florida. He graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of South Florida.
In 1997, he landed a lead role in the 48-episode informational TV series produced by Annenberg/CPB Project entitled “Connect with English,” but it was his role as Mateo Santos in the TV series “All My Children,” in 1995 that catapulted him to stardom.
When he started working as an actor on the drama series, he just lived on someone’s couch in the living room, but when he finished the show in 2002, he was already living in his own house.
Mark also got the chance to star in several films, the most notable being “The Great Raid” with Benjamin Bratt, James Franco and Connie Nielson in 2005; “Cop Out” with Bruce Willis and Kevin Pollak in 2010; “A Walk Among the Tombstones” with Liam Neeson and Dan Stevens in 2014; and “Nine Lives” with Kevin Spacey and Jennifer Garner in 2016.
His television career blossomed and he was part of many successful TV series.

The most notable were “Missing,” with Caterina Scorsone and Vivica A Fox, in which he became a regular cast member from the second season to the final season (2004-2006); “American Horror Story: Asylum” (2012-2013); “Alpha House”, a political satire series, in which he played a US Republican senator with John Goodman (2013-2014); and his current hit TV show, “Riverdale,” joins the main cast during its second season (2017-present).
Who is Kelly Ripa?
Kelly Maria Ripa is an American actress and television personality, of Italian and Irish descent. She was born on October 2, 1970 in Berlin, New Jersey to Joseph and Ester Ripa. Her father was a union chairman and her mother a housewife; she had a Catholic upbringing.
Kelly graduated from Eastern Regional High School in 1989 and then enrolled at Camden County College for a degree in psychology, but dropped out to pursue her dream of becoming an actor in New York. She fell in love with acting when she landed the lead role during her senior year in a locally produced play, ‘The Ugly Duckling’. Before that, she also gained local TV attention in 1986 as a dancer in “Dancin’ On Air” and “Dance Party USA”.
“All My Children”
Kelly is one of the lucky few who got a break early in their careers. Even with no acting experience, she didn’t have to wait long like other newcomers, because after her audition, she was offered the role of Hayley Vaughn in ABC’s TV series “All My Children.”

However, when she started filming, she discovered that she couldn’t play the part of a split personality alcoholic. It was the drama series’ producer who paid for her much-needed acting lessons, all of which were worthwhile as she lasted for 12 years and became one of the most beloved characters on the soap opera.
“Live! with Kelly Ripa”
In 2001, she got another hiatus when she was chosen to replace Kathie Lee on the hit TV talk show ‘Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee” – the chemistry was sizzling and the ratings soared. After 11 successful years, it was Regis Philbin’s time to say goodbye when he retired at age 80, and the show producers decided to let Kelly run the show alone until they found a new partner.
A former professional footballer, Michael Strahan, was chosen from a long list of options to become Kelly’s new co-presenter, which turned out to be the right choice as ratings increased by 87% with ‘Live! with Kelly and Michael.” However, Strahan got the chance to host a new show in 2016, and so another round of hopefuls was organized with Kelly until they finally chose Ryan Seacrest. “Live! with Kelly and Ryan”, began May 1, 2017.
“Hope & Faith” TV sitcom
ABC produced another show for her along with Faith Ford on the TV sitcom, “Hope & Faith”, in which she played a soap opera star, Faith Fairfield, whose TV character was murdered and forced to move in with her sister Hope in Ohio, which ran successfully for three seasons from 2003 to 2006.
It was recalled that Kelly said in an interview that she no longer wants to work so hard in her life. Apparently she was juggling several roles at the same time, an actress, a host and a mother.
Movies
Kelly has also starred in several films — the most unforgettable was in 1996, co-starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Dianne Keaton, and Meryl Streep in “Marvin’s Room.” She played a character close to her heart, namely a soap actress. It was not a commercial success, but it had generally favorable reviews with an 84% approval rating from Rotten Tomatoes.
TV/Film Producer
In 2007, she and her husband Mark founded a production company called Milojo – the first syllables of their children’s first names, and produced movies, TV shows and documentaries.
