Siwa made her affair with Cyrus public on September 13, 2022 with an internet-breaking TikTok. Siwa captioned the video, showing the two having fun taking nice pictures in an arcade photo booth, “Happiest girl”. She alternated the images with shots of the booth, one of which showed the two kissing.
This post comes just days after Cyrus created her own Instagram photo dump, most of which featured her with Siwa. Siwa and Cyrus have been working together on TikTok for quite some time. However, before the aforementioned TikTok, neither of them made any overt references to their growing affair. On September 4, 2022, they even posted a lip-syncing video where they joked that they were “platonic.”

“I KNEW,” said the video’s top commentary. Another person said, “It was so obvious.” Among these and other comments that welcomed the new couple, several people expressed their displeasure with Siwa’s relationship and its timing.
“When two couples break up and end up forming a new couple,” one person said, referring to the fact that both Siwa and Cyrus just ended their respective relationships. “Olivia’s Traitor was just about to play when this song came on,” another joked, while a third asked, “Has it been a month?”
