The Emmy-winning actress and television personality, Niecy Nash, most recently starred as Glenda Cleveland in the Netflix series Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, which aired on Netflix on September 21. Created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, the program revolves around the eponymous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer (played by Evan Peters), whose 13-year murder spree began in 1978 and primarily targeted young gay men of color. The show details the circumstances that led to the birth of the famous ‘Milwaukee Monster’, as well as his eventual incarceration in 1991. The program focuses on the traumatic experiences of Dahmer’s victims and presents the event from the perspective of these victims and Dahmer’s neighbors.

When I was five years old, I decided I wanted to be an actor after seeing actress Lola Falana on television.

Niecy Nash and her first husband, Don Nash, have three children. From 1994 to 2007, their marriage lasted 13 years. Nash has worked with a number of key organizations. She was the public face of the group MAVIS (Mothers Against Violence in Schools). Her mother founded the group in 1993 after Nash’s younger brother, Michael, was tragically killed in a school shooting that year. Niecy helped her mom run the MAVIS until they decided to close it down.
