Grinch Hour of Code Game and how to play explained: Without at least a few Grinch visits, is it December? Maybe not, but it’s not hard to locate the mean green grump at any time. Dr. Seuss developed the well-known figure, which originally appeared in his 1957 book How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
Since then, a few movies have brought the story to life on screen, starring the likes of Jim Carrey and Benedict Cumberbatch depicting the Grinch. On that note, Benedict gave him his voice in the 2018 Illumination cartoon The Grinch.
Relief was experienced to revitalize the author’s work as she had completed The Lorax of Dr. Seuss had already adapted. The Grinch Hour of Code game was one of the methods used to get people to celebrate the release of The Grinch.

Grinch Hour of Code Game and how to play explained
A fun and low-key pastime that encourages you to try your hand at computer programming is the Grinch Hour of Code game. The game, which has 20 levels, can be found here. The ultimate goal is to collect all the gifts while sharpening your coding skills. You will see the sleigh and gifts on the left side of the screen.
All you have to do is follow the directions. You need the “Movement” block on the workspace with the “when performed” block it by dragging it to the correct location. You only need to move the ‘Move’ block one space in the right direction, for example if the present is in the box next to the sleigh. Click “Run” to run the code upon completion.

To illustrate, lesson 1 explains the game. “It’s time for us to save Christmas,” the writing details. “You must catch all the presents to deliver to Whoville. Let’s use an algorithm to program our drone to move forward one block to pick up some presents.”

Once you have completed Lesson 1, move on to Lesson 2 which says “Now let’s fly the drone a little more to the right to pick up the presents lying there in the snow.” You have to drag “Movement” block one more box than in the previous lesson, as this shows how another box has moved the gift you need to collect.
