Freeridge release date and time on Netflix
Thursday, February 2, 2023 at midnight Pacific Time, Netflix will debut Freeridge, a spin-off of On My Block. The series, like most new additions to Netflix, will debut simultaneously in all Netflix regions, meaning for viewers in different time zones:
- 12 a.m. PT in the US
- 3 a.m. ET in the US
- 8am GMT in the UK
- 9 am CET in Europe
- 1:30 PM IST in India
- 7pm AEDT in Sydney, Australia
Freeridge plot example
Set in the Freeridge neighborhood, similar to On My Block, the new spin-off series follows the antics of Gloria and Ines, who are competitive siblings, and their friends Demi and Cameron. However, this new series takes an eerie turn when the four protagonists purchase a mysterious box that they fear has unleashed a terrible curse upon them, bringing a cloud of doom into their lives.

How many episodes are there in season 1?
The first season of Freeridge will have eight episodes. Each of the eight episodes is likely to run about 30 minutes, giving viewers about four hours of material to explore. Plus, all episodes will be available in one go in a binge-friendly package, so viewers won’t have to wait for Part 2 like they’ve been doing with many Netflix shows lately.
Netflix has not yet commented on whether or not Freeridge will return for a second season. It’s not shocking considering that the streaming provider probably took viewership into account when making this decision. The fact that the original On My Block aired for four seasons bodes well for the new Freeridge spinoff, but given Netflix’s track record of canceling shows, you never know.
