Aaren died on August 26, 1979, less than a month before her second birthday. She fell into the pool at her home and was unconscious by the time she was found.

Paramedics were called and tried to resuscitate her before taking her to the University of California Medical Center – she was put on a ventilator but fell into a coma and died a few days later.

She is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, Los Angeles.

Parents and siblings

Aaren spent the only two years of her life in California, where she, along with her siblings Arnelle L. Simpson and Jason Lamar Simpson, were raised by their father and mother Marguerite L. Whitley, who was a homemaker.

Her parents married on June 24, 1967 when OJ was 19. In 1977, OJ started dating Nicole Brown after meeting her at the nightclub.

He is a former American Football player, actor, and announcer, best known for his eleven seasons in the National Football League (NFL), most of them for the Buffalo Bills (nine seasons).

OJ was raised in San Francisco along with his brother Melvin Leon ‘Truman’ Simpson and sisters Shirley Simpson-Baker and Carmelita Simpson-Durio (deceased), by their father Jimmy Lee Simpson, who was a chef, and their mother Eunice, who was a hospital administrator – Jimmy Lee was also a drag queen, who announced that he was gay not long after his divorce from Eunice in 1952; he died of AIDS in 1986.

OJ was a member of the Persian Warriors gang during his teens and spent some time at the San Francisco Youth Guidance Center – finding solace in the football he started playing when he attended Galileo High School. He was one of the most promising football players in high school, but his grades were bad, and he made OJ believe that no college would want him, which led him to consider joining the military. After his friend was injured in the Vietnam War, OJ decided not to join the army but go to City College of San Franciscoand played for the college football team there as their running and defensive back.

Because of his amazing skills, he was invited to move to the University of Southern California (USC) and to the University of Utah, where he chose USC where he was coached by John McKay, a famous football head coach – OJ graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 1969.

He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 1969, who decided to go with his desire to sign a $650,000 five-year contract, the largest in professional football history at the time. OJ played mediocre football during his first three seasons with the Buffalo Bills, but became one of the NFL’s most sought-after players in 1972 after new head coach Lou Saban replaced him to play the center of offense. Five days later, on June 17, he was involved in a low-speed chase, while sitting in the passenger seat, which TV stations were following live — reportedly 95 million people watching the chase. On October 3, 1995, OJ was found not guilty of two murders, but not long after Ron Goldman’s family filed a civil lawsuit against him – he was found responsible for Ron’s death and had to pay $33.5 million in damages, which he still seems to be paying off today.

He was arrested on charges including battery and burglary in February 2001, and water too fast through a manatee conservation area on July 4, 2002. He was found guilty of 12 charges including theft, use of a deadly weapon and kidnapping on October 3, 2008, and after a retrial on December 5, 2008, was sentenced to 33 years behind bars – he was released on parole on October 1, 2017 released from prison.

The book “If I Did It” about OJ and the two murders is ghostwritered by Pablo Fenjves, with all of the proceeds from the sale going to Ron Goldman’s family.
