Celso Borges is a Costa Rican footballer who was born on May 27, 1988 in San José, Costa Rica. Alexandre Guimares, a Brazilian-born, Costa Rica-raised ex-footballer and coach, is his father. Born in the capital of Costa Rica, San José, he attended Sistema Educativo Saint Clare High School, where he also played on the school team and learned everything he knows about football from Costa Rican football icon don Juan Varela.
