CBS hopes that Ashley Tisdale will be the network’s next big comedy success. The single-camera comedy Brutally Honest, which will star Tisdale, is now in the works at the network.
Loosely based on Tisdale’s life, the comedy looks at how having a baby can ruin, save, change, destroy and inspire your marriage – all before lunch.
The script for the CBS Studios project is being written by Sarah Haskins and Emily Halpern, who collaborated on the critically acclaimed ABC comedy Trophy Wife and the 2019 film Booksmart. Tisdale will also be one of the show’s executive producers.
