Boris Diaw’s professional basketball career began in 2001 when he joined Pau-Orthez. He has been in the sport since 2001 and continues to do so. In the 2003 NBA draft, he was selected by the Atlanta Hawks and signed a multi-year deal.
He was traded to the Phoenix Suns in August 2005 in exchange for Joe Johnson. In a 2006 game against the Philadelphia 76ers, he scored his first career triple-double. In a 2006 win against the Golden State Warriors, he achieved his fifth career triple-double. He was transferred to the Charlotte Bobcats on December 11, 2008.
