A Jazzman’s Blues is set to debut on Netflix on September 23, 2022, at 12:00 a.m. PT. The streaming site released the official trailer for the film on August 23, 2022, which begins with the two main characters enjoying a meaningful kiss, as the narrator says.

“It was our very first kiss. Nothing in my life has ever felt so great.”

Then the trailer gives a glimpse into the life of the main character Bayou, in which he portrays his numerous personal challenges. Bayou and his girlfriend LeAnne seem to have split up due to social problems. LeAnne finishes the dramatic and poignant teaser by asking Bayou:

“Do you still intend to take me with you?”

He responds,

“With all my heart.”

Fans of sad romantic dramas will appreciate the trailer’s nostalgic, melancholy tone. According to the teaser and description, the audience can expect an emotional rollercoaster that depicts many intricate aspects of love. Along with the trailer, Netflix released a recap for the film, which reads as follows:

“A JAZZMAN’S BLUES is a flying tale of forbidden love that unravels forty years of secrets and deceit to juke up joint blues in the deep south.”

A Brief Look at the Cast of A Jazzman’s Blues

Bayou is played by Joshua Boone in the film. Boone looks fantastic in the clip as a guy who wants a passionate connection with a lady. In the clip, Boone portrays the suffering with ease and promises to deliver a dramatic performance. Joshua Boone has starred in a number of films and television series over the years, including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Premature, and MacGyver, to name a few. Solea Pfeiffer, who looks just as good in the trailer, also features prominently in the film. She is beautiful as LeAnne, the lady that Bayou falls in love with. She expresses her character’s pain, helplessness and despair as she accepts her fate. A Jazzman’s Blues marks Pfeiffer’s feature film debut and it will be intriguing to see how she performs in the picture. She has a long history of working in the theater.
