Andrew Shue is an American actor, writer, entrepreneur and athlete, who rose to fame for his appearance on the television program ‘Melrose Place’. He is a co-founder of the teen volunteer organization “Do Something” and a member of its board of directors.

Andrew was cast to appear in his debut movie, Aaron Spelling’s “Melrose Place”, in 1992 as Billy Campbell, along with Throne Smith (he later dated T. Smith), making him very popular and starring on the soap for six years played.

Shue later appeared as an abusive husband in Francis F. Coppola’s “The Rainmaker” starring Claire Danes and Matt Damon. In 1996, Andrew was traded with former SportsCenter correspondent, Charley Steiner, in a SportsCenter commercial on ESPN – Shue took his position at SportsCentre and Steiner took over from Shue at ‘Melrose Place’.

In 2007, Andrew worked on “Gracie’s” future 2007 film, and co-created Usra Major Films with his brother John, his sister Elizabeth, and “An Inconvenient Truth” Oscar-winning director and brother-in-law Davis Guggenheim. He co-produced “Gracie” and played a minor role.

The film was made to pay tribute to his brother Will, who died in a road accident in 1998. The film follows Elisabeth’s childhood storyline, in which she appears as the only girl to play on a boys’ soccer team.

Shue’s career in football began while playing for the Bulawayo Highlanders in Zimbabwe. The team won “the double” (both the CBZ Cup and Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League cups) during that season. He was the only white Zimbabwean player in the football league.

Shue played for the Zimbabwe Soccer Premier League in 1993 when they faced Los Angeles United of the Continental Indoor Soccer League.

He played once in this tournament. He played two games for Anaheim Splash in July 1994, and is also remembered for playing for Major League Soccer’s Los Angeles Galaxy while still appearing in “Melrose Place”. The talented footballer was injured in 1997 and spent the entire season as an injured reserve.

As an entrepreneur, Andrew has several notable achievements such as being the co-founder of the volunteer organization Do Something, co-founded with his childhood friend Michael Sanchez.
