Captain Sandy Yawn Fires Below Deck Season 10 Crew Member: For Camille Lamb, the star of ‘Below Deck’, the journey is over. On the “Below Deck” January 16 episode in which Chief Stew Fraser Olender found Lamb drinking, Captain Sandy Yawn fired Lamb.
Yawn had previously warned Lamb to avoid trouble when he got into a physical altercation with crew member Alissa Humber aboard St. David. Olender had thought he might give Lamb another chance, even though the crew was angry with her.
As everyone prepared for the next chapter, Olender bumped into Lamb while holding a wine glass filled with champagne. “You don’t drink on the job, Camille,” he said during the episode. “Come on honey, it’s not a holiday… Ridiculous.”
Lamb claimed she had completed her work and was “just human.”
“Seeing Camille come out with a pint-sized glass of champagne shows that there’s really no care or willingness to put in the work,” Olender told the Bravo camera.

It’s not the first time Lamb’s ethics have been called into question. The fight between Lamb and Humber – which took place in front of guests – started because Humber accused Lamb of slacking off. “Below Deck” fans on Reddit also accused Lamb of being “lazy.”
Olender chided Lamb for taking a break while her cabins were out of order and she sipped the guest’s champagne.
“I like the girl; I think she’s fantastic… but she doesn’t do the job, and what do you do with that?” said Olender during a confession.
Olender decides to go to Yawn, who replaces Captain Lee Rosbach that night after Lamb continues partying, telling her he is still having issues with Lamb.
“As much as I love Camille, last night was the last straw for me,” he said. It was time to let Lamb go, Yawn agreed.
“For me, I’m tired of hearing about Camille,” she said. “She is the common denominator in all of this. Great girl, great personality, but at the same time we have to do what’s best for the boat.”
Olender also approached the captain with his problem. Lamb was surprised to learn she had been fired when Yawn broke the news to her. Lamb “Needed” be fired, Olender said. Andy Cohen asked Olender to give his honest opinion of Yawn as captain during his visit to “Look What Happens in Life” by Cohen.
When Cohen asked Olender if Yawn had made the right decision in firing Lamb, Olender said “it had to happen” and “I needed that support.”
Olender – the first male chef “Below Deck” — told Cohen that Yawn was “Turn right” to say he mismanaged Lamb before she was fired. “I think all of these things were a learning curve and I needed her to kick my ass,” he said.
During the charter, Olender and Yawn became involved in a conflict of their own, with Olender being reprimanded by Yawn for interrupting their conversation.

Olender told Cohen “it was not the time” to have that conversation. “We were half way through the charter. We have to work’, he said.
Olender agreed that Lamb was trying “suck” to Yawn but was unmasked just after “10 minutes” by the captain.
Olender struggled when asked to prepare a list “three things” Lamb was good at binoculars. He just said, “She looked great,” as his only comment.
Tony Award-winning actress Kristin Chenoweth – which appeared on the “WWHL” episode with Olender, praised the chef stew. “He shows that you can be a boss and you don’t have to be a jerk.” she said.
Lamb said she was lazy
Lamb did not immediately answer when she was told to leave. Lamb addressed some of the abuse she received from followers in a December Instagram story.
“I’m not a bad person for coming across as lazy…I have a bit of an attitude,” she said, according to a screen capture obtained by 90 Day Fiance_Stories. “I’m working on it. I’m getting better at it. Growing. But at the end of the day… I’m proud of myself. I’m not a mean girl, not a bad person, have morals, ethics, value all those things.
Lam argued for “grace” and the audience’s grace as she concluded the video. According to 90 Day Fiance Stories, she said: “It’s a bit much.”
