NEW JERSEY (WPVI) — PRINCETON The Mercer County Attorney’s Office on Wednesday declared the death of a Princeton student whose disappearance made national news a suicide.
As stated in the autopsy report prepared by the Middlesex Regional Medical Examiner’s Office, Misrach Ewunetie died of “Bupropion, Escitalopram and Hydroxyzine Toxicity”.
On Thursday, October 20, around 1 p.m., Ewunetie, 20, was discovered “outside in the grounds behind the tennis courts” along Faculty Road by a facility worker, according to the prosecutor’s office.
She showed no signs of trauma and her death did not appear suspicious or illegal, the then-prosecutor said. According to a statement from Princeton’s Vice President of Campus Life, “The loss of Misrach is beyond comprehension.

Misrach Ewunetie’s family became concerned when she failed to show up the next day for an interview related to her application for US citizenship, which was to take place about 45 minutes from the university.
