You can tell a lot about a person based on what they have on their nightstand, and Elon Musk is no exception.

After one of Musk’s followers posted a quote about the US Constitution attributed to the billionaire, the billionaire responded by posting a photo on Twitter, where he remains the company’s CEO, of the “light” reading he has on his bedside table .

Low and behold, Musk had a copy of the document ready to shoot on his bedside table, calling the item “the most treasured item,” alongside a copy of the Declaration of Independence, George Washington’s “Rules of Civility,” and what appears to be a set of are three gold coasters.

It may be a nod to Musk’s campaign to make Twitter a haven for “free speech,” something he has in the past compared to a “digital city square where a wide range of beliefs can be debated in a healthy way.” .

Last month, Musk showed the Twitterverse a different bedside table (although it’s unclear if it’s the same table that was redecorated or a different one).

On the table of the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla were four opened Diet Coke cans, a nearly empty plastic water bottle, Washington’s Flintlock gun, a dummy pistol, a Buddhist token, and numerous watermarks. Musk noted the lack of coasters and said he had “no excuse for it”.

In recent weeks, the new Twitter owner released the “Twitter Files” — internal documents and communications from a pre-Musk Twitter showing top-level executives discussing the suppression of certain information on the platform — of freedom of speech and transparency.
