LeAnn Rimes shared a sad update with her fans as she stays home on vocal rest and tries to get over the flu. After saying over the weekend that her illness had gotten worse, she took to social media to explain that it would affect her upcoming shows as well.
She posted a handwritten note stating: “It completely and utterly breaks my heart to have to announce that I will be moving this weekend’s shows.”
“While I was sick with the flu, my doctor discovered bleeding on my vocal cord, caused by the violent cough that came with being sick.”
The singer went on to claim that while she rested and recovered, it would take longer than planned, saying: “I’m getting better, but I can’t communicate or sing… on doctor’s orders!”

She added: “I’m devastated to have to do this because there was nothing I looked forward to more than celebrating the holidays with you.”
“Check your emails for information on new scheduled times and I’ll see you very soon,” concluded LeAnn. Fans filled her comment section with messages of support and healing. One even said: “Just take care of yourself and get better!!! Take care of yourself in the short term for long term health.

LeAnn told her fans about the news about her Instagram Stories. She wrote, “I found an app that speaks for me, that makes this bad time a little funnier! #littlewins.”
The singer then posted a selfie while resting at home. In it she showed even more what she did to get better quickly.
